We are asked, “Are there any toys that can simultaneously help teach my kids and also give them physical exercise at the same time?”
Educational games that have physical components are well grounded in multi-sensory learning theory, which suggests that as more relevant dimensions (sight, hearing, tactile, physical involvement) are added to a learning experience the higher the retention of details and the understanding of the material will be.
When a learning experience can be brought to life with a game there is another dimension (fun) that is also introduced. Games like the Number Ring Toss from TAG Toys is an exciting activity that can help teach kids about basic numbers, and help them develop skills with numbers, counting and basic math.
Number Ring Toss from TAG Toys
Ring toss number games are played by adding or subtracting numbers won by tossing the ring over different pegs, and activities like this are easy so everyone in the family can participate. Variations on the game like can be created that allow parents to introduce kids to different mathematical concepts like multiplication and division which can be introduced during ring-toss games as bonus rounds or penalty throws.

We are asked, “I’d like to encourage my youngster to move around more without suggesting to them, that they need exercise. What kind of toys do you have that are fun and encourage physical activity?”
Kids who play with other kids tend to be more physically active than are children who do not have friends to play with. If other kids aren’t around, parents should take the lead, and encourage simple activities like dancing, ask for a game of freeze tag in the yard, or take the family to the park to play on the swings or climb a tree. There are hundreds of ways to families, parents and kids to have fun that involve physical activity at the same time.
Set of 50 Easy Stand Dominos from TAG Toys
As a last resort, where no other kids are around and parents are dragged in different directions by travel or work, there are toys available that children can play with, which encourage physical movement, even if the child is alone during the playtime. Toys like the Stand Up Domino Collection from TAG Toys, encourages walking around, bending over and crawling between domino’s while setting them up for the eventual cascading knock over.
Other toys like TAG Toys Hollow Blocks and Ring Toss Games (Number Ring Toss and Word Ring Toss) also encourage physical activity. These games are entertaining for kids who are all alone, and even more fun when played with friends and family members.

We are asked, “My two year old seems clumsy. Do you have any toys that will help her improve her coordination and balance.”
Growing can be both a bit uncomfortable and an awkward experience, and toddlers need practice and some time to develop the skills the rest of us take for granted. TAG Toys makes many toys that help youngsters improve physical coordination, fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Blocks Of Fun from TAG Toys
The TAG Toys Blocks of Fun toy has fifteen-blocks in four bright colors, which fit together inside a rolling wagon. Regular play with the blocks helps youngsters develop fine motor skills including grasping, passing objects between their hands, stacking and fitting. The wagon also encourages youngsters to gain confidence in pushing or pulling the wagon around, and to develop general balance and walking skills.
Other toys from the TAG Toys collection that also help develop fine motor skills and coordination for very young children include Size & Shape Wagon of Blocks, TAG Toys First Building Blocks and Maple Shape Sorter.

We are asked, “What games do you have that the whole family can play together during a holiday gathering?”
The holidays are definitely more fun when the games are brought out of the closet and everyone can let loose a little bit and have some fun.
Word Ring Toss Game from TAG Toys
One of our favorite Games in our TOY Collection is the Ring Word Toss Game. In this game, each person tries to toss the ring onto a peg to win a letter and build a word. Players alternate turns, and keep track of words they are building on the included hand-held score boards, with paper or on a chalkboard. The game can be played in teams or as individuals, and difficulty increases as words get longer, and also as the distance between the base, and the throwing line is increased.
Other games in the TAG Toys collection include the Word Discovery Game, Picture Completion Game, and the Number Ring Toss.

A reporter writes… “I’m looking for unusual gift ideas for our upcoming show. Do you have any suggestions?”
If you really want to make an unusual product suggestion this year, recommend something that does not have an on/off switch.
Parents who want to give a truly healthy gift to their young children this holiday might be interested to learn that simple, basic childhood toys are far better than ultra-high-tech noise makers when it comes to promoting early life cognitive development, and at helping children improve their social, physical & motor skills.
One Line Name Puzzle from TAG Toys
Children actually love real toys like Name Puzzles & Building Blocks. Even groups like the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) report healthy learning habits are developed through playtime, not from technology.
Some of our favorite, no-tech toys we are recommending for the holiday include the Personalized Name Puzzle ($29.95) which has the child’s name carved into individual letters, the Toy Lock Box ($69.95) which teaches children about home/personal safety, and our good old fashion Wooden Alphabet Puzzle ($54.95). These are fun healthy toys that last a lifetime.
